About the experience of Bucheon Residency

“My residency was highlighted by a spirited discussion about books and translation with students at Catholic University. I also participated in the first Bucheon Diaspora literary Award, which was awarded to Ha Jin and his Korean translator. I’m grateful to the city of Bucheon for their dedication to highlighting diaspora literature through the award and forum, and I’m appreciative that they have included translators in their important work. The hospitality and welcoming spirit of Bucheon were a much needed salve for the soul. ”
