Every student has a story to tell.
The 22nd Storytelling Competition for middle and high school students was held at the Korea Manhwa Museum on July 26th, 2022. It was hosted by Bucheon City of Literature in cooperation with the Korean Language Teachers Association.
40 Middle and high school students from across the country, who passed the primary round in 15 different local contests, visited Bucheon to take part in the final round. The competition took place with two categories according to their age - junior high school and high school.
This year, the competition was held for the first time over two days and one night of storytelling camp. The competitors participated in a tell-a tale competition session on the arrival day. They were asked to work together as different groups to create a story on the next day day, followed by the awards ceremony.
16 students took home prizes with good memories. The storytelling competition offers an opportunity for students to listen to others, enhancing their ability to express themselves, as well as new ideas and information and have their creativity and public speaking skills fostered.
