We have just opened the call for 2022 edition of Bucheon Residency Program  dedicated to writers, translators, and artists who are connected to the UNESCO Creative Cities around the world.

Our writers in residence program promotes writing and literature as they are given an opportunity to enjoy dynamic and unique environment of Bucheon. During the seven-weeks of residency, the writer spends 80% of their time working on their own project and 20% of their time participating in programs that are designed and personalized with enough talking with the residential officer in Bucheon City of Literature.

We are currently seeking a Writer in Residence who better understands the intrinsic value of cultural exchange, which makes the world a more beautiful, connected place for everyone. Better understanding of others, our cultures, and acknowledging our differences is especially important considering the current situations around the world such as the war between Ukraine and Russia.

We offer 7 week stays for 2 writers and artists in October. The stipend, travel costs and accommodation are covered by the Bucheon City of Literature Office. All the details including the application form are available here. The deadline for submitting the application :May 31th
